This fall, in partnership with MLT Aikins, the Agricultural Manufacturers of Canada (AMC) launched a series of regional Momentum Meetings for members in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario to explore the evolving landscape of data collection and management within the agricultural manufacturing sector.
These meetings focused on the critical challenges of data ownership, the risks to businesses and other related trends in the sector. The Momentum series discussions lead into the upcoming AMC ELEVATE Annual Expo and Tradeshow, which will take place on November 6-7, 2024, in Etobicoke, Ontario.
This year’s theme of ELEVATE is intended to celebrate breakthroughs in the sector. Leaders in Canadian agricultural manufacturing will guide attendees through themes in research and development as well as the latest technological advancements.
MLT Aikins partner Danielle Graff will be the first speaker on the agenda on Wednesday, November 6. Danielle’s session is titled “Safeguarding the Future: Navigating Data Transparency and Security in Ag Manufacturing,” which will be built on the Momentum series’ discussions and will highlight key risks and opportunities for the sector.
“Our partnership with AMC demonstrates the organization’s commitment to keeping its members up-to-date with the latest legal developments in data ownership, transparency and security. Our firm is fortunate to have a large team focused on technology, IP and privacy, combined with deep knowledge in agribusiness and food which has allowed us to have very topical and timely discussions as part of the Momentum series,” says Danielle.
In addition, the Expo’s two-day tradeshow will provide a venue for AMC members to showcase their innovations and forge connections with an engaged network from across Canada.
