Erin is a partner in the MLT Aikins corporate group. She practises in the areas of corporate finance and corporate/commercial law. While Erin acts for clients across a diverse range of industries, she has a particular focus on energy and aviation.

  • Saskatchewan counsel on $33-million sale of royalty interests
  • Associate counsel to major potash producer regarding construction contract for the construction of a new mine shaft
  • Counsel to property developer on $20-million commercial construction project

Erin acts for a range of lenders, including banks and private equity firms, on various financing transactions including term debt, subordinated debt and equity investments. She also advises business clients, ranging from owner-managed businesses to multi-national organizations, on corporate financings.

With respect to the energy sector, Erin advises Canadian and international companies on a variety of matters, including acquisitions and dispositions of mineral dispositions and projects, joint venture and option agreements as well as royalty and commodity agreements.

Erin’s practice includes experience in the aviation sector.  Her asset/equipment finance and leasing experience includes many cross-border transactions, structured finance transactions and all-inclusive management agreements.  In the mergers and acquisitions context, Erin has particular experience advising purchasers and investors in Canadian aviation operations.
