MLT Aikins conducts a wide-ranging practice in the area of alternative dispute resolution. Our lawyers have extensive experience in mediation and arbitration.
Not every matter is suited for litigation. Our lawyers help clients determine the best forum to have their disputes resolved by mediated agreement or adjudicated by private arbitration. Our work in this area includes arbitrating and resolving disputes in areas such as commodity purchase contracts, construction contracts, share valuations or lease terms.

In the labour relations field, members of the firm serve as arbitrators, adjudicators and mediators to assist in the resolution of both rights and interest arbitrations as well as other employment related issues.
Additionally, members of this practice group are often appointed as arbitrators and mediators in commercial and construction disputes that would otherwise be resolved through the litigation process.
