Congratulations to Avram Heisler on his recent call to the British Columbia Bar and on joining the firm as an associate lawyer based in Vancouver.
Avram is a member of the firm’s Indigenous practice and offers guidance to Indigenous clients on matters related to rights-based consultations. He has experience assisting Indigenous clients in navigating regulatory processes, including matters before the Canada Energy Regulator. He also represents clients in negotiating collaborative agreements with industry stakeholders.
In addition, Avram provides counsel on the application of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) in Canada and the revitalization of Indigenous legal systems.
