The J.R. Simplot Company has acquired G-Mac’s AgTeam and its 15 retail stores in Saskatchewan.
Headquartered in Boise, Idaho, the J.R. Simplot Company owns more than 230 Simplot Grower Solutions stores serving the agriculture sector in the U.S. and Canada.
“We’re thrilled to expand our retail footprint in Western Canada and to provide products and services to help local growers get the most out of every acre,” Troy Bolt, vice-president and general manager of retail business with Simplot Grower Solutions, said in a release.
The 15 G-Mac’s AgTeam retail locations in Saskatchewan are now Simplot Grower Solutions stores, offering agronomic advice, products, services and agribusiness solutions to growers in the province. Simplot has welcomed more than 100 former G-Mac’s AgTeam employees.
“Together we will continue to bring a comprehensive variety of crop-related quality products and services to ensure growers get the maximum return from their land and investments in Western Canada,” said Doug Stone, president of Simplot’s agribusiness group.
