MLT Aikins lawyers return to present to Banff & Lake Louise Hospitality Association

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, lawyers Scott Bell, Aaron Marchadour and William McClary will be providing a full-day Employment Law Workshop to the Banff & Lake Louise Hospitality Association (BLLHA) in Banff, Alberta.

Aaron will present on an employer’s duty to accommodate and provide an update on Occupational Health and Safety. William will discuss considerations in recruitment and retention from an employer’s perspective. Scott will then provide an update on immigration including recent changes to Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

MLT Aikins is pleased to present this workshop in partnership with the BLLHA. Members and non-members are welcome to attend.

About the MLT Aikins presenters

Scott Bell practises immigration law with a focus on business and employment-based applications. His clients include private corporations and individuals. Scott has advised various employers and individuals with regard to federal immigration applications, including work permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments, Free Trade Agreement exemptions and permanent residency. He is based out of MLT Aikins Saskatoon office.

Aaron Marchadour is an associate lawyer in the labour and employment practice groups at the MLT Aikins Calgary office. He advises employers regarding their legal obligations in managing workforces and represents employers in litigation matters. His practice involves a broad scope of employment and labour areas including wrongful dismissal, human rights, workplace investigations, employment standards and assisting employers with occupational health and safety matters, such as investigations and prosecutions relating to serious OHS incidents.

William McClary is an associate lawyer in the firm’s Calgary office and maintains a litigation practice. Will’s practice is focused on labour and employment, administrative law and regulatory law. He has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta. Will obtained his JD in 2018 from the University of Victoria and completed a clerkship with the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta in 2019. He is a professional engineer.
