Established in 2008, Hillenbrand Kozicki built a sterling reputation for excellence and a robust portfolio of commercial real estate clients. The merger significantly enhances MLT Aikins’s presence in key markets, particularly in Edmonton. It also expands the firm’s capabilities across Western Canada.
Today, it is with great excitement that we welcome four lawyers, five paralegals and three corporate staff from Hillenbrand Kozicki to our Edmonton office.
Mark Hillenbrand – Counsel
Mark has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law including purchase and sale, development, condominium development, financing and leasing. He has acted for numerous clients in the purchase and sale of businesses. Mark’s clients include real estate developers and large and small business owners.
David Kozicki – Partner
David advises real estate developers, builders and investors on a variety of commercial and residential real estate matters, including new construction home sales, lot sales and multi-family/commercial transactions. He also regularly advises clients in commercial financing as well as commercial leasing, acting for both landlords and tenants.
David also maintains a broad corporate/commercial practice with a particular focus on the purchase and sale of businesses. He has experience with corporate financing, structures, reorganization and general corporate advice, and he advises private lenders in relation to structuring and advancing of private loans.
Rob Chapman – Associate
Rob maintains a real estate development and general corporate/commercial practice focused on private lending, commercial leasing, land transactions and purchases and sales of businesses. His experience also includes residential real estate, wills and estates, corporate governance and condominium development.
Shadi Rahbani – Associate
Shadi is a trusted adviser to individuals and businesses seeking personalized legal solutions. He offers strategic counsel across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including commercial litigation, contractual disputes, landlord-tenant disputes and employment matters.
