David Carrick

David maintains an extensive business law practice in Winnipeg. He advises businesses in a variety of industries across Canada, with a focus on expansion, restructuring and maximizing business ownership value. David advises both technology developers and users in respect of all of their contractual relationships.

Scott Davidson

Scott works primarily with patents, industrial designs, copyright, trademarks and intellectual property protection. Scott’s particular focus as a patent agent is on drafting and prosecuting patent applications. His background in mechanical engineering and computer science allows him to connect quickly with technology-oriented clients.

Danielle Graff

Based in Winnipeg, Danielle leads the firm’s Innovation, Data & Technology practice group. She regularly provides advice in connection with transactions involving technology, including licensing and technology transfers, outsourcing arrangements and related procurement projects as well as joint ventures, collaborative arrangements and M&A deals.

Kristél Kriel

Kristél co-leads the firm’s privacy, data protection & cybersecurity area. Her experience with complicated cybersecurity, privacy, freedom of information and technology matters makes her a valued asset to clients. Kristél is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Canada). She also acts as a third-party privacy officer, providing cybersecurity and data privacy services.

Nathan Schissel

Nathan practises in the area of information technology, cybersecurity, data protection and privacy, intellectual property commercialization and licensing, anti-spam compliance, e-commerce and M&A. In addition, Nathan assists both private and public sector clients in managing cybersecurity and privacy risks, conducting strategic risk assessments, and developing effective risk-mitigation, governance and incident response planning.
