On January 18 and 19, three MLT Aikins lawyers will be presenting at the 2024 Manitoba Bar Association (MBA) Mid-Winter Conference.
The conference will take place at the Fairmont Winnipeg and feature presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
- Curtis Parker will present on the topic of Notable Cases for Civil Litigations 2022-2023. Curtis practises in the advocacy department in the area of civil litigation. His Winnipeg practice focuses on health law and commercial arbitration.
- Robbie McLellan will explore the topic of Trade Secrets: The Bid Protest Mechanism under Domestic Trade Agreements. Based in Regina, Robbie maintains a general corporate/commercial practice with particular focus on construction and infrastructure projects.
- Desiree Katz will speak on the topic of Testamentary Trusts – Understanding the Fundamentals to Draft, Implement and Advise. Desiree is an associate in the firm’s Winnipeg office practising in the areas of taxation, corporate/commercial law and wills, trusts and estates.
- In addition, Katrina Scaramuzzi is on the conference’s organizing committee. Katrina practises in the areas of civil and estate litigation, and wills and estates law.
The MBA is a branch of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). The CBA is the largest professional association for lawyers in Canada, with branches in every province and territory and a national office in Ottawa.
