Melanie is an articling student with the firm’s Edmonton office.

Melanie obtained her Juris Doctor with distinction and Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta. Prior to entering law school, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and worked for an in-house legal team as a contracts administrator at a diversified North American construction company.

Melanie completed part of her articling term with the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. She returns to the office as an articling student after summering with the firm in 2020.

During law school, Melanie received a variety of academic awards, including the Felesky Flynn LLP Scholarship in Taxation Law and Canadian Petroleum Tax Society Prize in Corporate Taxation, and was a member of the Alberta Law Review. She also summered with an Alberta-based financial institution.

Outside of the office, Melanie enjoys staying active and discovering new restaurants.
