Ruby is a patent agent trainee with more than 10 years of intellectual property experience.
Ruby Quan’s practice focuses on patent drafting and patent application prosecution related to a wide range of technologies including optics, electronics, software and mechanical engineering. She has extensive experience in the patent field such as patent portfolio management and prior art search and analysis in high-tech company and oil-gas industries prior to joining the firm. Ruby is a former Patent Examiner in China.
She has collaborated with multiple patent law firms for patent prosecution in different jurisdictions, including Canada, the U.S., Europe and China. Ruby has been trained on patent searching, examination and drafting with the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC).
She is bilingual, fluent in English and Mandarin.
