- Confidential client: Advising a corporation in connection with a US$20 million secured note and stream agreement to finance one of its gold projects.
- Confidential client: Represented an Alberta-based development company before the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board in connection with the company’s appeal of a condition of its subdivision approval.
- Confidential client: Represented a US-based development company before the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board in connection with an appeal filed in response to the approval of the company’s development permit.
- Confidential client: Represented an oil and gas industry service provider in its acquisition of all issued and outstanding shares of a company which distributes chemicals used in oil and gas production.
- Confidential client: Represented an oil and gas industry service provider in its acquisition of all assets of a company that inspects power transmission lines, distribution lines and oilfield components.
- Confidential client: Represented a private issuer in connection with its reverse-takeover of a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company.
- Confidential client: Represented a private issuer in connection with a private placement of units.
- Confidential client: Represented a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company in connection with its plan of arrangement relating to the amendment of its convertible unsecured subordinated debentures.

Sierra’s practice focuses on commercial real estate law, corporate law and municipal law matters. She has particular knowledge and experience in relation to commercial leasing (representing both landlords and tenants), real property purchases and sales, property development and real estate financings. She has also appeared before the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and the Land and Property Rights Tribunal.
Sierra also advises clients on a broad range of corporate/commercial matters, including share and asset purchase and sale transactions, financings, unanimous shareholder agreements, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and other project-related agreements.
Prior to joining MLT Aikins, Sierra practiced at international law firms in both Edmonton and Calgary. She also completed secondments to: a national retail company where she negotiated and drafted numerous offers to lease, leases, lease renewals and extensions and rent concession agreements; the regulatory department of an Alberta electrical utility company where she provided regulatory advice; and a national insurance company where she assisted with various day-to-day corporate matters.
